This beautiful cabin is nestled in the woods, making it very private. It was built in 2023 and is a must see! The cabin features wooden floors that were recovered from a barn in Eldorado, IL that was built in the late 1800's. A disabled military veteran hand crafted the cabinets using wood from the very same barn. And you cannot miss all of the beautiful colors in the accent wall! The ceiling is covered with panels of tin that are stamped with "Granite City Steel." Can you spot a stamp?
The cabin sleeps 4 people on a queen size bed and a futon couch. Bedding and towels are provided. Wi-Fi is available along with a Roku TV. You may enjoy the outdoors by sitting under the porch and listening to the slow rain or you may choose to grill out and eat dinner on the picnic table. Wait for night to fall and build a fire in the fire ring. Be extra quiet and you may see the deer that hang out in that area.
The horses should be kept in the stalls in the barn. Please leave the doors open and use the fan to help keep the horses cool as needed. The horse trailer should be left in the parking area to the north of the barn. Pulling the trailer to the cabin is not recommended as the road dead ends.

Please allow us at least 30 days' notice and the deposit will be refunded less a $10 cancellation fee. We cannot guarantee refunds with less than 30 days' notice. Many people plan their vacations many months in advance based on cabin availability, so it often cannot be rented on short notice.
If a refund of the deposit is due, please give us your mailing address. We will mail a check and will not hold the deposit. We can apply it to another stay as long as there is a future stay in our records. The $10 cancellation fee still applies.
Please do no smoke in any of our rentals. It is not only against Illinois law, but it is hard to remove the smell and can be costly to replace damaged items.
Bring along your furry friend and enjoy our pet-friendly accommodations, where your pets can explore nature alongside you. There is a one-time pet fee of $20 per pet.
Hayes Canyon Campground generally asks for a deposit that is roughly 50% of the stay. We do not accept debit or credit cards so please mail the deposit to us. A deposit will guaranty your rental. If a deposit is not received, we may call and/or email for confirmation but we do reserve the right to assign the rental to another guest in the event of not receiving a deposit.
Hayes Canyon does not accept debit or credit cards. We've researched it extensively and feel that it is too costly. Please pay with cash or check so that costs may remain as low as possible.
